HEMTT chassis, modified M777, a la Caesar. But I'm gonna go with RCH turret on M109 chassis as a quick fix. Same for Panzerhaubitze chassis, as much as I like the Panzerhaubitz. The RCH system is a game changer. Individual vehicles moving separately, firing on the move, coordinating fires to arrive on target at the same time, avoiding counters battery fire. Only current drawback is limited mobility of wheeled chassis (and that 5-wheeled trailer-turret monster I've seen proposed for the US Army is a rolling DISASTER). The Germans are already working on a tracked RCH. Agility is extremely important.

Picked up these two trucks… stripped’em, built up the cargo.



Even though the canvas (aluminum foil) was already primed, primed entire vehicle, then painted.

I’m removing the cars and motorcycles.

FüFu stands for Führungs und Funkfahrzeug, which translates to Command and Radio Vehicle.

Flt stands for Feuerleit, which translates to Fire Control.

Based on this, I’m thinking each firing platoon (Geschützzug) will have a single Fuchs as the Flt, and the battery HQ will have 1 or 2 Fuchs as the FüFu as you have already determined for your batteries.

The Vorgeschobener Beobachter Trupp, which translates to English as Forward Observer Party, and the ABRA Gruppe will be removed from the firing battery. They will be consolidated in a recon and target acquisition battery, and they will upgrade to Joint Fire Support Teams equipped with Fennek vehicles.

I have seen some info online about Germany artillery battalions going to a 5-battery model: command & staff battery, 2 cannon batteries, MLRS battery, recon & target acquisition battery. Not sure if this is legit or not, and even so I don’t know if I want to go that route. I need to finish more batteries before I have to make that decision!
