Looking to build a new army for WW2 and was wondering if there had ever been any consideration towards the Dutch army in 1940? The 2 types of Dutch armored cars would be an interesting addition as well as infantry which! could also work for Romanian infantry since they wore the Dutch helmet as well and at this scale the minute differences in uniforms would not really be an issue, just paint them khaki instead of the Dutch gray.

Romanian Infantry and Heavy Weapons are due out in December. I don't know enough about the Dutch in WWII to say, but might these suffice for the infantry portion?

As for vehicles I was thinking the DAF-36, 38, 39 armored cars.

Not exactly a commonly known piece of kit. 'Tis indeed a Marmon Herrington. Rare beasties, they were, even in their day. Scarce as an honest man in professional sports, these days.

Although at this scale Romanian infantry would be indistinguishable from Dutch, the armored cars are a bit of a problem. The Dutch had 2 armored car squadrons with Swedish-built Landsverk armored cars, the M.36 and M.38 (a dozen of each type). The Dutch-designed and built DAF M.39 armored cars were still fitting out on May 10, 1940 and most had not yet had their armament fitted. The Dutch also had 5 tiny Vickers Carden Loyd Mk.VI machinegun carriers.

Although I envy Mk.1 his Marmon-Herrington experience, it is sadly of little relevance to the 1940 Dutch Army. Ordered for the KNIL in the Dutch East Indies, they were too late to be delivered before the Japanese arrived. They served in the Dutch West Indies (Surinam in particular) and a couple of Central American armies instead. More on them here:
