Why are items like KW2, which is not in production and have no orders, being made, rather than items which ARE in production and have been in use in significant numbers? The US Marine ACV comes immediately to mind. I understand it's hard to predict some circumstances (M10 Booker is a good example), but choosing vehicles that have been or actually are in service might be safer.

Panzer, I feel your pain. I think, for a model company, it's a tight rope you have to walk. GHQ is a wargame product company first and foremost and a model company second. In my humble opinion. For this reason, they attract both types of customers. Weather you are a wargamer or model collector, I feel both customers type have people that want to game or collect the "what if". Even if if the military had cancelled the Booker before GHQ release, I would have been upset and disappointed if they had never made that sculp. I can't wait to get that piece on the table... And purchase at least another company or several more.

Hoth, I did buy a company of M10 Bookers to support my wheeled infantry brigade (1 bn Strykers , 1 bn V150s, another Stryker bn to be added), but only because the Army was forging ahead at the time with the M10 and it would be apportioned 1 M10 company per brigade from the divisional battalion. I still thought it was a half-a$$ed vehicle and a waste of resources. But at least, at the time, GHQ jumped on the M10 because it had started production and likely most gamers would have a much better opinion of it than I. I was never going to buy more than 1 company of M10s, simply because it's a lousy vehicle. It's mission is better performed by other weapons. It's a liability. Better to take the M8 or come up with an M18-like vehicle , fast, light, air-transportable by twos in C17s WITH A 120MM!
My point remains that there are vehicles out there that are legitimate candidates for GHQ because they are already in production and deployed with armies that deserve the space in GHQ's inventory more than those not yet adopted. If we're gonna get into vehicles on spec, where is my XM800(T), or my MBT70, or the GM candidate XM1, or that nice, tracked, high speed Marine amphibious assault vehicle? The Brits have a new engineer vehicle on the Challenger chassis, they run the Challenger recovery vehicles without the cages. The Germans have Leo II engineer vehicles. Where is the APC version of Ajax?
Much to my chagrin, we're likely to get a year's worth of offerings covered in cope cage boxes to deal with Ukraine's conflict. Unfortunately, mobile, armored warfare is in limbo at the moment, awaiting effective anti define weapons. It's back to the infantry!

Panzer,
You don't have to sell me on the idea of prioritizing vehicles that were, are or will be in service. We are at a time when almost every other day a new armored vehicle or tank is being produced. There are so many vehicles and versions that have existed throughout years past that GHQ has not made sculpts of. So much that I know that GHQ will probably never produce them all and not I will have the time to collect and paint them all that they do and will make.
You should know me by now, I have a laundry list of things and vehicles I want and have lobbied for. Like vehicle stowage......and vehicle stowage and maybe some vehicle stowage. I would love to have them before I begin on the my list of guilty pleasure vehicles, that were proposed but never existed.
I think the one nice thing about GHQ, is that every once in a while they throw in a vehicle that might be or proposed one, that can be used for a what if the US built these.....or because they just look cool to one of there collectors. Other than the one off, they prioritize production of all the vehicles that exist. Which is 99.9% of the time.
P.S. I really hope the do not go on a tangent and keep producing the vehicles with cope cages.....I would rather they make them as add ones like the mine plows.....o that reminds me, I would love if they made more mine plows for other vehicle types....and did I mention vehicle stowage packs.. like extra tires, packs and rolled tarps....

You can likely make a lot of storage - rolled tarps, duffles, even packs, with a littlebpatience, modeling clay rolls, and an exact knife.
