It's right that these realisations take me a lot of time, but, because I'm really a GHQ Micro armor passionnate, I oblige myself to find the time to make historical search, making scratchbuild figurines, painting and ...... playing with them.

And, when I look to some of very beautiful work on this forum, it cause me to try to make something good.

I hope my models make you dream....

I have still few original ideas for the vietnam aera.....

For JB : I don't forget the challenge : make a Coca Cola bottle in a soldier's hand or make a Marlboro cigarett package on a helmet

I,m itching to see a finished H-34. I know they've only been out for a month but somebody has to have gotten some by now. Pibber? You're the master of the Vietnam Era. Got any in the works? What about GHQ, are you guys going to post a pic in the catalog anytime soon? I just might have to switch from modern to vietnam era USMC if these are a nice as the CH-21's. Of course then I'll have to start begging for H-37's, CH-53A's and D's, CH-46's, etc.

My riverine squadron base with helo barge.
On LCM-8's : one fire direction center, one artillery battalion HQ (for riverine artillery barges), one heavy transport company medium boat HQ, ....
Two ATC (one ATC"H" aid station).
Two riverine monitors.

This was a typical configuration for HQ infantry riverine Btn of a US riverine force in action.

For Skypig 53 :
Sorry, I don't have the CH-34A yet, because I wait for GHQ ( ) to show us a photo of it in their catalogue. Then, I will surely bought few models (!!!).

For Cama :
Althought I am making all these Vietnam models to play wargames with them, I can't do it now because, at present, my Vietnam terrain is in building situation.
I have made coconut trees with bushs, geomophic river's banks, brown water plates but I dont' have flocage (foliage) to finish the ground surface.
I want to buy Woodland Scenic foliage but I haven't do my order yet.
I could post few Vietnam terrain's photos soon on the forum to show you the principle of my terrain but it will not be finished.
Don't you prefer waiting few time to see the terrain finished instead of see it in building situation ?

I'm planning on organizing some Vietnam units in GHQ and I was wondering what color schemes do you use to paint your Huey's. The ones in the riverine dioramas look great and I was wondering what line of colors were used.

For Carl67 :
For my Huey I use Humbrol paints :
US Green : matt 116 (first time) and matt 86 (very very light drybrush) (second time)
Black : matt 33 + gloss vernish
rotor pales : matt 66 (olive green)
top of the tail : matt 60 (red)

There are a couple of UK terrain manufacturers who make very good palm trees that are not too expensive that would add a different look to your terrain. They can also be modified easily by bending the fonds down to change their look.

Thanks for the info on colors for your helicopters. I use Vallejo acrylics primarily and I'm thinking the US Dark Green may be suitable.

Your Vietnam models look terrific and have inspired this traditional WW2 gamer to try his hand at the Vietnam conflict both in modeling and gaming. Keep the photos coming. They are great inspiration and helpful in my planning efforts on the subject.
